These Christmas favourites usually appear on the stalk in the festive season, showcasing the sprout in all of its glory. No change in taste to having them loose, although the stalks are edible.

The stalks can be eaten. Chop or thinly slice across the grain before steaming.

Store in the fridge, but do not enclose. A bowl or lidless container would be perfect.
